Curtis Taylor Jr. he is no stranger to this blog at all, and will continue making his way here the way things are going for him. he is now a freshman at Mizzou, and doing big things. it seems like just yesterday that we were in high school on the side of my house taking picture to put on facebook w/ my little Cannon. and now he's taking pictures that are on XXL Magazine's website! i'm just so proud of him. oh, and did i mention that he hasn't had just one post on there, but two! the first one being when B.O.B had a performance at the school, and the second is when J. So with he last post in mind, I want THESE when they come out this spring. Its their first time being re-released since 1992. (Were the same age) Its more of a FALL colorway than it is spring to me but still something I could see myself wearing. I could see Behr wearing these too.

I don't think any site i've been to is for sure on the release date, but I keep seeing April 2011, which would be around the time of my 19th birthday.. They're already available for sale on some online stores but not in my size.. they are supposed to release in GS and i need a 7Y. So Im hoping its true. Cause if not that would be THE WORST April fools joke ever lol, I'd be walking around in too big shoes though regardless.

okay so as a youngster I of course loved pokemon... I grew up around boys, well my cousins specifically. So when I was at home, I loved playing Barbies and dress up, but when I had to stay with the boys, I found myself engaged in Pokemon, and I loved it!

Of course No one knew how to actually play with Pokemon cards, but We traded, stole and bought them. It was serious, no joke. On the playground and every Christmas between 1998 and 2001.

Anyway my collection still exists surprisingly. Every once in a while I glance through it and reminise like today.

These are my least two favorite Pokemon. I'll tell you why. Jiggly Puff was weak! He sang and put people to sleep, then drew on their eyes, get outta here. Thats lame. And Jynx, who for whatever reason BEHR, always picks when we play Pokemon Stadium really disturbs me. The boob job, the lips, the wig its all too much. lol

THIS is my favorite pokemon card ever! It came with Pokemon the First movie, which I bought at Circuit City the first day it came out on vhs. I watched the movie like 4 times that night. Its Mewtwo who of course was the villain pokemon in the movie.
Here we have, me three favorite Pokemon ! Haunter, Meowth and Squirtle. So I like Haunter because Purple is my favorite color and he's a purple ghost how cool is that? And I always thought ghost pokemon were cool.

Meowth was by far the funniest pokemon and he could talk.. like who wants to hear a pokemon repeat its name all day. Not me. I like Meowth for teaching himself how to talk by being stuck in an attic listening to conversations, that's so cool.

Then we have, Squirtle. On the first episode he was introduced on he was part of a gang of wild Squirtles, and he left his gang to join Ash, that shows heart! I appreciate that.

And I never understood Trainer Cards.. But these made me laugh.

a couple nights ago i was chilling w/ my cousin and we always seem to have some great conversations. this time it was about how we miss the 90's! she was born in the late 80's so she has a real good grasp of the 90's! all of this is leading to a specific song that we had to run back a couple of times, a song that will take me back to wearing nothing but a white tee shirt, some Fruit Of The Looms underwear and a blanket w/ multicolored triangles! it's Take Me There by Mya, Blackstreet, Ma$e and Blinky Blink! if you are my age then you know where that came from. BLACK FRIDAY

This whole weekend I had No Voice At All.. I've pretty much been whispering my way around and laughing silently smh . But i was super hyped for the Black Friday sale, specifically at UO. Behr had went to UO the prior week, and saw a flyer that was like 50% everything. So of course we mobbed out to the galleria, planning to set it off. We hung out at our Friend Alexis' house for a few hours before doing a lot of crazy shenanigans, really just looking at YouTube videos, and the funniest moment to me: laughing at her younger sisters trophy, that she was basically awarded during a "Lean Wit it Rock Wit it" contest when it was hot. LOL its still funny now. By time we get to UO, we realize that the 50% off sale was off items already on sale.. It really put a damper on the whole mood, but we still made our way to the front and were some of the first people to get in. And I got in, and got it in! I managed to actually find some good items. BDG Varsity Jacket: it was a hidden sale item. They had it sitting on the table by a bunch of stuff that wasnt on sale, but I liked it so i was considering getting it even though I didnt think it was on sale. But to my amazement the tag said it was on sale for $50, meaning $25 with the black friday sale. It was basically a steal !

If you click HERE you can see my post on Fall Inspiration, that you might remember. I mentioned that one of my must haves was a royal blue dress like my babe Va$htie wore.. its such a complimentary color, i love it! Its by Silence and Noise, one of my favorite UO brands.
These are just too cute, they're Deena & Ozzy suede scallop lace up booties, and theyre ultra adorable. After trying them on twice, i was convinced that they were just okay, but after seeing so many people gain interest in them in the store, i was starting to feel protective over them and decided they had to be mine lol.
This girl almost swiped them from me twice, and since my voice was gone, I had to use my inner strength to tell her those are mine lol. I had set my stuff neatly beside me while I was putting my other shoes back on, and she was going through my pile. People were on the prowl I tell you.

This was my first Black Friday experience and I enjoyed myself ! I left UO and only spent $65 for some essentials especially the jacket and shoes. I think I will def participate in Black Friday next year.

For FALL, I am very excited to play with my dressy side.. Boots, Leggings/tights and dresses.
I am usually known as the all black everything type, and yeah thats going nowhere lol. But I have decided to find some styles that I would like, and be able to play with as far as more colors are concerned.
I really need some brown lace up boots, like the ones pictured here.

I've recently ordered a pair of red tights, like the ones pictured above I plan on wearing them with buckle up pumps, like the ones pictured except i have a black pair.

Red, has always been a color that Ive strongly disliked.. why? I dont know because now I love it and another item I cant see myself without this fall is a red dress. Something classic that speaks for itself simply because it's red.
And thanks to the lovely Ms.Vashtie Kola and the royal blue dress she wore to her bff Oscar Sanchez's birthday party, Ive noticed how striking this color can be also.

This is a style im veryy excited about. Shorts and tights together. Im just a huge fan of tights, and I love the fact that you can use them to basically keep all your summer and spring clothes in rotation. She also is wearing a trend that Im pretty fond of, which is the studded shoulder look.

LAST but not least, I did mention the fact that I was looking forward to playing w/ dresses, and I think a cream dress would be a nice addition to my wardrobe. It just appears more casual than white and paired w/ pastel colors and black, like it is pictured is something I never would have thought of.. so I'm inspired ♥

straight outta South Central in 1990 comes Yo Yo! she is one of the reasons i wish i was a teenager in the 90's! i would have had a major crush on her! something about the braids and snapback! lol, she came out hardcore, in your face, and hood! and i like that! lol, she was all about women empowerment and standing for something. you have to take into account she had a dope attitude, she was cute, her voice is sexy, and any girl keeps a small gat in her purse is the girl for me ! and i'm a sucker for some pretty eyes too. but just to sum it up Yo Yo was the bomb and here is her video for Can't Play With My Yo Yo!

Unfortuantely when we arrived, they were booked and didnt have room for our party of 8. So after an awkward time at Culpeppers, which was right across the street and not as packed, we decided that it wasnt close to the night we expected it to be.. Luckily right down the street we found Sub Zero Vodka & Sushi bar. The night took a turn for the better and we had good food, good friends, and a good time.

okay this post is long overdue! i just could never find a lot of pictures of him by himself. anyway the coolest thing happened to me twitter! i tweeted Oscar Sanchez and he tweeted me back! lol, i've always seen him on Vashtie's blog and read how she said that they were best friends! and what stood out to me is how well he dressed. his style was just so effortless looking. looking at pictures of him and Vashtie makes me think of how me and Jeyy are going to be in a few years from now! i won't go on talking forever but he just seems like a really cool dude. and he tweeted me and Jeyy "thanks soooo much! THROWBACK: An ode to Chicken

During a random school test at Hazelwood Central, I got the chance to be seated near my dear friend BRADLEY J. RAYFORD. He had the identity of being the honorary camera man at our school. Brad is always strapped with his Minolta Maxxum 5d, so during the test lunch break, he found inspiration in one of his chicken wings, and asked ME to take the picture. I credit myself on the awesome focusing lol. This is one of my favorite pictures. I promised him I would do a blog post and found my inspiration here lol.

*We spent many good times together our senior year, I hope to kick it with him in the future and have more photography adventures.

A couple weeks, I got one side of my hair shaved off, leaving a mohawk down the middle, with the other side braided. Today I made my way down to the barber shop and had my guy Damon, chop off the other side too. So I now have a complete mohawk. Its very easy to do, and manage my god its bliss. And the plus is it happens to look very good.I was asked what I was gonna do when I get tired of it. Considering how HECTIC my life is about to get, moving away for college, and all the work that comes along with it, I think my mohawk might be here to stay lol. But when I do, I'll just let it grow out. And im not gonna lie, Rihanna influenced me a lot to make this decision, along w/ my bf Melissa who's been going crazy with the clippers on her hair before me.

i've never really really been big into sports my whole life. but i must say sports have some pretty cool fashion!

-soccer; their warm up pants are the best thing ever invented to me! loose fitting at the hips and thigh, but tight below the knee! i got a pair of Adidas warm up pants and i'm in love with em'!

excuse the room. y'all know y'alls be like that too sometimes! lol

-basketball has mesh tank tops, and those have been dope since i was a little one. and since my Lakers won ( sorry Celtic fans ) i need to get some of their gear. plus the color scheme is dope; purple and gold! the Chicago Bulls colors are dope with the red, white, and black.

and last i need to cop some Cardinals stuff! gotta rep the Lou when i head up there to Chicago, let em' know what's up! :) if you really think about it baseball jersey's are short sleeve button ups! lol

so i was on twitter today and Teyana tweeted a youtube link. so of course i went to check it out! lol, but when i first started watching i didn't understand. after it was over i read the video description and found out it was a part of a series made my a bmx biker named Nigel Sylvester. he teamed up with Gatorade to make a mini series about his a day in his life. it is one of the coolest things i've seen in a minute! and it featured song by an artist of the name of Donnis. i am not hip to him but from the videos i like his work and i'll have to check it out because it seems like he'll have his own post soon enough. check it out! ps: my grown woman crush Va$htie has a cameo in one of the videos. she looks amazing just like Teyana! i guess i got a thing for New York girls!

These are the only shoes I wear frequently, that you cant classify as totally black lol.
Here's the shoes i wear most often... ALL black. I LOVE neutral colors. SO i think instead of sticking to black, I'm gonna try more white's greys and blues. And if I do color, it has to be pastel.. just a random fact about myself I discovered while trying to find something summery to wear today lol.
